Reader, I want to tell you something that changed everything about how I run my business. A few years ago I found myself in what people call the sandwich generation, which sounds like a cute little life phase until you're actually living it. I was caring for small children and aging parents at the same time, while also trying to run a business that demanded I show up on Zoom calls, post on social media daily, live launch programs on a schedule, and generally be available to everyone at all times. Can I just say, it was exhausting in a way that's hard to describe unless you've been there. If you're in that season right now, I just want you to know I see you. It's a lot. So I did something radical. I stripped my business down to almost nothing and rebuilt it from scratch around one question: What does this need to look like so I can actually show up for my life? I got rid of the custom packages, the multiple programs, the endless pivoting between industries, and the calendar full of discovery calls. I got crystal clear on one offer, one funnel, and one group of people I could genuinely help. I used a Secret Podcast funnel to bring in leads and make sales daily, grow my email list, and let people self-select into working with me without a single sales call. I marketed that one offer until I hit my income goals. Then I started pulling it apart to create low-ticket gateway offers that brought in monthly recurring revenue and gave people an opportunity to work with me at a more accessible price point. This business model was simpler than anything I'd ever built. And it worked better than anything I'd done in the past. And after 23 years as an entrepreneur, trust me, I've tried it all. I'm so grateful I set things up this way, because last year my dad got very sick. And I was able to drop everything and just be present with him. No posting schedule to maintain, no launch to manage, no calls I couldn't miss. I ran some ads to keep leads coming into my Secret Podcast funnel and let it do the rest of the work for me, bringing in leads, sales, and a few new 1:1 clients I served entirely over Voxer. My focus was simply to be with my family and spend the last few months of my dad’s life with him. I was present. And when he passed, I was able to take extended time off to grieve and be with my family. Does it sound as glamorous as sipping margaritas on the beach while sales come in? No. But this is the kind of freedom no one really talks about. Freedom isn’t just about working from a beach living that "laptop lifestyle" (although that is a bonus!). Sometimes freedom is being able to close your laptop without guilt to spend time with loved ones, or take a day off just because you feel like, or donate your time as room parent at your kid's school. And part of that freedom is the focus and clarity you get from one offer and one funnel. When I took almost 8 months off I still made almost as much income as I had when I was actively marketing my business. Not because I got lucky, but because I had built a system that didn’t require me to be at the center of it. My Secret Podcast kept bringing in leads. My low-ticket offers kept helping people at their own pace. And my coaching was reserved for the people most serious about getting results, which meant my energy went exactly where it should go, toward the clients who were ready and the life I actually wanted to be living. Better for my lifestyle. Better for my clients. Honestly, better for everyone. This is what I wish someone had handed me years ago. So I built it. And in 2026, I'm going all in on helping other women build it too. Over the last few months, I’ve had the privilege of helping a small group of women install it into their own businesses, and several of them have already had record Q1 results. Imagine you are walking down the street minding your own business and suddenly there is a camera crew and a guy with a microphone in your face telling you that you have an opportunity to become a millionaire but you have a choice to make. Option one is a million dollars cash right now, in your hand. Option two is a single penny that doubles in value every day for thirty one days. Most people take the million without hesitating, and honestly that's the logical choice on the surface because a...
I was stuck in a very long checkout line at Walmart recently. The woman in line ahead of me struck up a conversation which somehow navigated to her business. She had recently started it and she was getting some clients here and there. Unfortunately, the sales weren't consistent enough to feel stable and she was starting to wonder if she needed to go get a job to help cover her bills while she figured it out. I asked her what felt like the most obvious question in the world to me...who is your...
Hey there Reader, I was having my coffee this morning thinking about this woman in my industry that I looked up to for years. She has like 300k Instagram followers, amazing brand photos, a team of people handling her content, and a launch every other month that seems to generate a million dollars by noon (at least that is my perception, lol). When I used to see her pop up in my feed, I would check out her latest post, compare my business to hers, and immediately feel deflated. I'd start to...
